Over the weekend, co-worker and good friend, Katie, finished her monster of a thesis (like 100+ page thesis) that she’s been working hard on forever and will be officially graduating with her masters degree this spring. So I decided to “decorate” her office in celebration…to the tune of almost 200 balloons…piled waist deep.
Then I sent an email to the entire first floor apologizing for when she has to pop them all to get to her desk.
So CONGRATULATIONS Katie. Hope you’re still speaking to me.

I can only say two things:
1. Oh My God.
2. Thank you very much!
I’m waist high in balloons trying to answer emails and get caught up from being out of the office for 4 days. This is beautiful and there’s such great energy in the room (if I can get over the fact that these are filled with Mickey’s breath I’ll be ok).
One more thought: popping these will be great stress relief after a hard week of Database Trainings!
Thanks, Mickey. You’re awesome!

No fear, Katie. There’s no Mickey breath in there. I used an air compressor to blow them up. (You think I’m crazy or something??? Don’t answer that.) So, you’re just surrounded by stale, moldy, disgusting basement air.
